THE STAGES OF A SENIOR DESIGN PROJECT THAT DOESN’T WORK
When problem after problem arises and I feel so incompetent but trying to keep it together
Finally realizing that it’s just not going to work
Trying to get over it for the presentation
Afterwards
WHEN THE MOTOR IS WORKING
And then it started making this terrible sound and we were all like
And then when my group blew it out
THE DAYS LEADING UP TO MY FINAL SENIOR DESIGN PRESENTATION
When my group’s first part in the assembly broke and they asked if we ordered any spare parts
The night before when parts keep breaking, no matter what and everything your group assumed, they assumed wrong
When I need to do last-minute soldering but the iron has been so fucked up by all the use it’s just straight up not working
When other teams are starting to get on my nerves
When I have to deal with “that” team
Whenever I check my phone and see how little time I have left
All anyone feels who is still working on their project the night before
When something finally works
And my team is like
But at 3AM
When your team miraculously puts something together that can pass as working
After my 5th cup of coffee in 5 hours
How I feel during the final presentation
After pulling an all nighter, completing the final presentation and having someone ask a technical question
Once I’m finished with the final presentation
The night after it’s finished
The next 3 days
